Letter from the Chairman

It was a lovely privilege for me to be elected your Chairman for the next three years at the AGM last May.  The more I learn about the various activities of the Friends, the clearer it becomes how important to the life and mission of our Cathedral the Friends are.  Many of us do not live in Truro. More still are not able to attend the Cathedral for worship.  All of us want to support the work of the Cathedral in the service of all who either live in Cornwall or come to us as visitors.  As a lay member of Chapter I know just how much Chapter values the financial contribution the Friends make and all the other work done by Friends as volunteers.  As Friends, we all have the opportunity to support the Cathedral but just as important, we can have a great deal of enjoyment in taking part when we can in the various social and other events arranged for us.

I greatly look forward to meeting as many of you as possible over the coming months.
